Let me first say that it is a true pleasure to teach you/your student at Richland Northeast. I am born and raised right here in Columbia, South Carolina and I am proud to have received an education from this renown school district of Richland District Two. Although, I was a former Viking---I am super honored to be a Cavalier with all of you!
I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Science both at Winthrop University! At this wonderful university, I found the time to join numerous organizations while balancing school work, one of which is my beloved sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I also recently (May 2018) received my Masters of Education in Educational Administration at the University of South Carolina. When not teaching or planning, I love to: indulge in massive Youtube Searches, binge watch a great series, catch a movie, read, write stories, listen to oldies [and find samples], and enjoy time with family and friends!
I truly love teaching students, especially at this level. After high school, many students take various routes: the work force, higher education, the military, etc. In understanding this reality, I can not take lightly my role as your teacher. For some students, this is the last stop in their education realm, and if that is the case [or not], I find it my responsibility [all educators in general] to prepare YOU to be the BEST YOU for that "next step"--what ever it may be. I hold high expectations and boundless optimism for my students and their capabilities. Therefore, I encourage you to simply try. Try to make an effort...Try to make the highest grade possible...Try to find new answers for the world of the unknown AND I will match your effort 110% no questions asked!
